Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as ‘Olamide badoo’ has reacted to the National Broadcasting Commission’s airplay ban placed on his latest song ‘WO.’ Olamide, who released the video on August 16 and has seen it get about 922,482 YouTube views and 1658 comments, reacted via his Twitter account on Tuesday. The YBNL boss in a tweet said he has no intention of promoting tobacco with his music. The ban came after Federal Ministry of Health said Olamide’s new street anthem ‘WO’ violates the Tobacco Control Act 2015.

LAGOS— A lagos lawyer and human rights activist, Femi Falana, SAN, has said President Muhammadu Buhari should be embarrassed at the manner the police treated protesters under the aegis of OurMumuDonDo movement Femi Fanala The protest, which started last Monday, has seen the protesters asking President Muhammadu Buhari to either resume work or resign, following his over three months stay in London, United Kingdom, on medical vacation.  The police, however, disrupted the protest on Tuesday, on the grounds that it would be hijacked by hoodlums. CALABAR: 52-yr-old man nabbed for selling 2-yr-old son

Abraham Udoh, 52, is now in police net after he reportedly sold his two-year-old son for the sum of N150,000 without the consent of his wife, Esther Abraham, who brought his action to the notice of security operatives. The suspect who was arrested on July 24 was paraded by the Cross River Police Command. According to the state’s Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Inuwa, after thorough interrogation, the suspect confessed that he sold his son to an unknown woman residing in Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State. The CP said, “On July 24, a case of child trafficking was reported at our Uwanse Divisional Headquarters here in Calabar. Former CBN Governor and current Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, says that if the Federal Government introduced appropriate sanctions for corruption cases, with the media providing the needed support monitoring mechanism, the war against corruption could be won within six months. He noted that corruption has seen some individuals and corporate bodies hide under the guise of tax haven to avoid paying tax, a situation that has seen Nigeria lose more than 30 per cent of its tax revenue annually. He was speaking on Wednesday, in Ibadan, through Alhaji Shehu Mohammed, the Sarkin Shanun Kano, at an International Conference on Tax Havens and the Developing World: The Global Dimension, organised by Centre for General Studies in collaboration with office of International Programmes, University of Ibadan (UI). American- Nigerian rapper, Wale has slammed those criticizing him for spraying dollars on his daughter, Oluwakemi, at her first birthday party last month. After the rapper shared a video of him on Instagram showering his baby girl with cash at her birthday party on July 23rd, people likened it to "making it rain" at a strip club and criticized him for the gesture.  Responding to the criticizing, the MMG rapper said: "That's just a little bit of that ignorance you get in this country [the US] sometimes, for other cultures. I'm used to it," he told US entertainment site TMZ.
